Deep running back sleeper options to consider in 2024 fantasy football drafts

Hello readers who have been putting off doing your fantasy football research until now, welcome.

According to FantasyPros, the following running backs are available after the 100th pick in half-PPR fantasy drafts: Average draft position (ADP) Add it to your queue, sit back, relax and wait for the win.

Fantasy Football Deep Running Back Sleepers

Ezekiel Elliott Dallas Cowboys

ADP: 108 overall (RB37)

The former fourth overall pick is returning to Dallas on a one-year, $2 million deal. Elliott will share playing time with Rico Dowdle. And maybe Dalvin Cook 2024.

Though not the player he once was, Elliott is teeth The best back on the team.

Current Cowboys rushing efficiency in 2023

If the on-field evidence wasn't enough, he's best friends with the starting quarterback and the team owner has had a strange affection for him since the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Cowboys aren't going to put too much of a strain on Elliott — he turned 29 in July — but they will give him the most important snaps (third down and goal line) in an offense that is highly rated for volume and scoring.

Blake Coram Los Angeles Rams

ADP: 119 overall (RB41)

After joining Sean McVay’s scheme, Corum has quickly become one of the best handcuffs in fantasy, with his real selling point being the possibility of him earning a starting spot, or at least significant snaps, over Kyren Williams, the latter of whom isn’t built well to carry a heavy load.

Collum, the only offensive player Los Angeles drafted in the top 200 in April, has already secured a place in the starting lineup.

Corum's current job is to fill in for Williams, who was injured multiple times during a 260-touch season last year, but it's not hard to imagine him continuing to perform well in McVay's offense and taking on an expanded role.

And if the third-year pro gets injured again, a third-round rookie could be the league's winner.

Ray Davies Buffalo Bills

ADP: 194 overall (RB55)

Since Joe Brady took over as offensive coordinator in Week 10 of last season, the Bills offense has ranked first in plays per game and total rushing attempts per game according to PFF, and James Cook reached 1,500 yards from scrimmage and finished as fantasy RB11, but still has some meat left in him.

Cook is dynamic but limited: He weighs less than 200 pounds and is best off working outside the pocket, rarely making goal-line runs and getting outplayed by Latavius Murray on key passing attempts.

As you can see from the team's rushing staff above, Buffalo is looking to become a more balanced attacking force, and that's where fourth-round rookie Ray Davis comes in. He led the SEC in total touchdowns (21) and ranked second in scrimmage yards (1,452) last year as a fifth-year transfer.

Davis is more savvy than Cook and a) can be trusted to play valuable snaps on short-yardage and passing downs and b) can run the run to extend Buffalo's playbook. Teams around the league are investing in power/gap concepts to counter the recent defensive shift to two-high safety coverages.

Cook may lead the Bills backfield in snaps and touches, but Davis could get his fair share of them.

Isaac Gerend, San Francisco 49ers

ADP: 264 overall (RB71)

The subject of this article is good offensive role players. Guerand plays for Kyle Shanahan (check), but the only way he'll be available is if he gets injured, and only deep/dynasty league players are targeting him. The 4th round rookie is third in the depth chart behind Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason.

That said, Gelände could thrive in Kyle Shanahan's one-cut system if given the opportunity, where he flourished as a sixth-year transfer. Louisville Last year he was plagued by injuries, WisconsinHe proved his skills matched his tools by finishing third among ACC running backs in yards per carry (6.1) and fourth in yards per catch (10.6). Relative athletic ability score The most of any running back prospect since 1987.

His profile certainly isn't the best when it comes to age, medical history, career stats, competitive level, and draft history, but with two trump cards he can be pretty powerful, and Shanny's impressive talent in strategy is hard to ignore in a 20+ round draft.
