House Administration Committee Chairman Brian Steele announced Thursday that subpoenas have been issued to five members of the Biden administration over the president's “BidenBucks” executive order to designate as many federal agencies as possible as statewide voter mobilization centers.

The subpoena issued Wednesday by Sen. Steele (R-Wis.) sought sworn testimony from administration officials.
That's because the agencies ignored subpoenas issued in June that sought documents related to strategic plans for implementing President Biden's Executive Order 14019, also known by critics as the creation of “Biden Bucks.”
In his subpoena, he noted that pursuant to Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution, it is primarily the responsibility of each state to enact election laws and administer elections, including voter registration.
Steele sent letters in July to the Departments of Justice, Housing and Urban Development, Labor, Health and Human Services and Agriculture, asking them to provide the information subpoenaed in June.
“Americans deserve transparency and confidence in their elections, yet the Biden administration has refused to comply with lawfully issued congressional subpoenas and has refused to cooperate with our investigation into schemes to use federal agencies to 'solicit votes,'” Steele said. It said in a statement.
“These Biden Administration agencies have repeatedly failed to develop strategic plans for implementing Executive Order 14019. It is time for these officials to explain to the Committee what these plans are and how their agencies are implementing them.”
“Bidenbucks,” also known as “Zuckerbucks,” refers to the roughly $400 million that Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg is widely believed to have donated to left-wing charities to boost Democratic voter turnout in the 2020 presidential election.
“Each agency head shall evaluate, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, ways in which their agency can promote voter registration and voter participation,” including “soliciting and facilitating approved nonpartisan third-party organizations and state officials to provide voter registration services on the agency's premises.”
