Popular Missouri chef killed in shooting outside his Irish restaurant, two teens in custody: police

A popular chef in Kansas City, Missouri, was shot and killed outside his restaurant on Wednesday afternoon, and two teenage boys were taken into custody less than an hour later, police confirmed to Fox News Digital.

According to a statement shared with Fox News Digital by the Kansas City Police Department, the 44-year-old chef was taking out the trash behind his Brady & Fox Restaurant & Lounge when he got into an altercation with several people standing by a car and was shot and killed.

Brady was shot multiple times and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The shooting happened at about 5:18 p.m.

“Our hearts are broken,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook after the shooting. “Words cannot express our sadness, anger and frustration. Our community is with Shawn's family forever… We are grateful for the outpouring of support, offers of help and love. We are united. We grieve together and we heal together.”
