He Is ‘Not the Type of Character You Want Making Decisions’

The brother of Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) said Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate “is not the type of person I want making decisions about my future.”

on facebook post As of March 2023, Jeff Walz, one of the brothers of the Governor of Minnesota, responded to comments from people who wanted him to “help MAGA” by speaking with his brother.

“We have become a Third World banana republic,” Jeff Waltz wrote in a post at the time.

One person who commented on the post told Jeff Waltz to “have a talk with your brother.”

“I haven't spoken to him in eight years,” Jeff Waltz claimed in a statement. “I am opposed to all of his ideologies. My family was not notified.” [that] He was selected and denied security the very next day.”

In other comments, one person called on him to “support MAGA” and “get on stage with President Trump and support him.”

“Help us save this country,” the person added.

“I thought really hard about doing something like that,” Jeff Waltz responded. “I'm torn between doing it and not involving my family. The story I can tell is not the type of person I want making decisions about my future.”

Waltz, who was named Harris' running mate in early August, has faced criticism and accusations of defamation after he listed on his official resume that he retired at a higher rank than he actually did.

As Breitbart News reported, Waltz retired from the Minnesota Army National Guard with the rank of sergeant, or E-8, although his biography previously suggested he retired as a master sergeant, or E-9.

Waltz served in the Minnesota Army National Guard and retired at the rank of Sergeant (E-8). However, his biography on his official website lists a higher rank for which he served briefly, but which was ultimately revoked because he did not meet all of the requirements for that rank. However, his biography suggests that he retired at the rank of Command Sergeant (E-9).

The statement that Waltz was a “retired master sergeant” was later removed from Waltz's biography by the Harris campaign and updated to state that Waltz had previously achieved the rank of master sergeant.

Walz has also faced criticism over a video posted by the Harris-Walz campaign in 2018 in which he claimed to have carried weapons in war.

I was in the Army for 25 years, I hunt, and I have voted for common sense legislation that protects the Second Amendment, but we can have background checks, we can study the effects of gun violence, and we can make sure that the weapons of war that I carried in war are only carried in war.

Walz faced criticism after it emerged he had broken a promise to lead U.S. Army National Guard troops into Iraq.

Archived press releases from Walz's campaign, who was then a candidate for Congress, revealed that he was aware of an announcement from the “National Guard Public Affairs Office” that “approximately 2,000 Minnesota National Guard troops may be activated.”

Waltz retired from the military while his unit was deployed to Iraq.

After Waltz retired from the Minnesota National Guard, his successor, Master Sergeant Thomas Behrens, described Waltz as a “traitor” and a “military fraud.”

Walz's former battalion commander also criticized the Minnesota governor, saying he “has not successfully completed any missions” at the rank of master sergeant or “has not earned that rank.”

The Minnesota governor is said to be one of four siblings. His siblings are Sandy Dietrich, Jeff Waltz, and Craig Waltz. According to Until today.

Dietrich reportedly lives in Nebraska, while Jeff Waltz lives in Florida, according to the outlet.

Former high school teacher Craig Waltz reportedly died while camping on Lake Duncan in June 2016. According to For KARE 11 News.
