Corey Lewandowski, an adviser to the Trump-Vance campaign, said pro-lifers who were unhappy with former President Trump's moderate stance on abortion and chose not to vote were “tacitly endorsing” Kamala Harris' “radical stance on abortion.”
Lewandowski, a 2016 Trump campaign adviser who recently joined his 2024 reelection team, appeared on “Fox News Sunday” and was asked about recent comments made to Politico magazine by pro-life activist Lila Rose.
In a recent interview, Live Action's Rose said Trump has “alienated” his base by moving more to the center in recent weeks.
“I think what he's doing is very stupid,” Rhodes told Politico. “It's politically unwise, it will cost him the election and it's morally unprincipled. It's all about voter turnout right now. If he wants to energize his base, he needs to stop pandering to Kamala Harris' base, because they're not going to vote for him anyway.”

Republican presidential candidates have voiced their opposition to using the federal government to ban the delivery of abortion pills by mail. Trump has also pledged to fully support IVF treatments because he wants “more babies.” Democrat Kamala Harris has said she would institute a nationwide abortion ban if Trump is elected, but Trump's running mate, Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, has said Trump would veto such a bill.
Trump also recently said Florida's restrictions on abortion after six weeks are “too short.”

JD Vance vows that Trump won't impose federal abortion ban, and will veto it if proposed
“If she chooses to stay home, it will be an implicit endorsement of Kamala Harris, who has taken a radical position on the issue of abortion,” Lewandowski said of Rose Sunday. “Many Democrats believe that abortion should be available not only up until the last week, but in some cases even after the baby is born. What Donald Trump said is, let the states decide. The states are the laboratories of democracy. Let's bring that back. That's what we're going to do. Roe v. Wade It really was. And now we're seeing all across this country that individuals have the opportunity to go to the ballot box and vote for what they want to see happen in their state.”

“And each state is going to be a little bit different,” he continued, speaking to host Shannon Bream. “We've seen relatively conservative, even very conservative states move into positions that give women opportunities that they would never have expected. But those states, whether it's Ohio or Kansas, understand that women have the opportunity to make their own decisions, and they recognize that. So what Donald Trump has done, and I think the American public generally supports this, is Roe v. Wade “The president's executive order was overturned because of three presidential nominees who are now sitting on the Supreme Court. And they left it up to the states. And it's now a decision at the local level.”
