An Ohio man facing child sexual abuse charges reportedly worked for multiple school districts before his arrest.
According to West Carrollton School District officials, the suspect is Identified David Anthony Snell previously worked at the school. Dayton Daily News Reported on Sunday:
The West Carrollton School District confirmed this weekend that Snell was employed as the girls soccer coach for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. District officials said Snell was never employed as an educator and that the district had not received any complaints or concerns about Snell during his time as coach.
Snell, 35, was arrested last week and charged with federal offenses of producing child sexual abuse material, coercing and soliciting a minor to commit a criminal sex act and receiving child sexual abuse material, according to Homeland Security Investigations.
School officials noted that the recruiting selection process includes background checks and drug tests, but in Snell's case the results apparently did not raise any questions about his hiring.
The district received letters of recommendation from Northwestern Regional Schools in Clark County, Centreville City Schools and Winton Woods City Schools, where the suspect previously worked.

“At the time of his arrest, Snell had recently been hired as the administrative director of the Hope Center, a community center in northwest Dayton that provides multiple services under one roof.” news The article noted that he was fired from the center after a short time there.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ): WebsiteFederal law still uses the term “child pornography,” but prefers the term “child sexual abuse material” because it “better reflects the abuse depicted in the images and videos and the resulting trauma to children.”
Meanwhile, a Cincinnati elementary school teacher is facing federal child pornography charges after he was caught with a naked child in a hotel room, Breitbart News reported in August.
