The diary of the 28-year-old transgender shooter who shot and killed six people at a Nashville Christian school in 2023 includes a passage in which he wrote, “I'm a sad boy born with a tiny vagina.”

Page by page, the woman, named Audrey Hale, expresses “pain” and a desire to die, and many of the entries are signed with “Aiden,” a male name that she reportedly frequently used.
For example, in one entry she addressed a message to “Paige” and wrote:
I'm going to kill someone someday. Please don't be mad…
I'm gonna do something bad (someday)
It's so sad to think how you must feel…
sorry…
I love you
Aiden
In another entry on the same page, the woman wrote, “Only two people will die.”

A few pages later, a transgender woman wrote, “I don't care if people die because I'm the shooter, because I'm going to die too.”
“We need transgender doctors. This gender role makes me not want to exist,” the woman wrote on March 8, 2023, just weeks before six people were shot dead at a Nashville school.
