Ryan Seacrest is preparing to step into his new role as host of “Wheel of Fortune.”

While the veteran TV host knows he has a “big” role to play as Pat Sajak's replacement, Seacrest revealed there's one thing he won't be doing on the popular game show.

“Don't change it. Don't touch it,” Seacrest, 49, said. “Good morning America.”

“This show is a success. All I have to do is keep doing this show. All we have to do is enjoy every night. If we do that, I think this show will last a long time.”

This isn't the first time Seacrest has taken on a primary hosting role.

The TV personality, who also hosted Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, spoke about what it was like replacing the legendary host and the similarities he found with his time as host of “Wheel of Fortune” when he replaced Sajak.

“For me, it's just an exhale of watching Vanna and this show and Pat and what they've built with audiences across this country. And what this show means to the people watching in their living rooms every night, to their families and the generations of people who have watched this show. That's something very special that doesn't exist anywhere else.”

“I mean, it feels like another world,” he confessed, “It feels like another world to me… watching Vanna, watching this show, watching Pat… what they've built with audiences across this country. And for the people who watch this show every night in their living rooms, their families, the generations of people who have watched this show, it's something very special that doesn't exist anywhere else.”

Sajak and White began working together on Wheel of Fortune in 1982, with Sajak hosting and White directing the letterboards.

Seacrest, who also hosts “American Idol,” detailed how he prepared for his game show job.

“I've watched many episodes of 'Wheel of Fortune' with Pat and Vanna,” Seacrest said, “and we've played mock 'Wheel of Fortune' games in many cities across the U.S., on a conference table or in a conference room, depending on where I am.”

He added: “We've been putting together makeshift wheels and makeshift participants for months to get the gameplay, the duration and the pacing down, and we're hoping it's all paid off.”

“Wheel of Fortune” announced that Seacrest will replace Sajak as host in June 2023.

“I am truly honored to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital at the time. “Like all of America, it has been an honor and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna (White) on television for an unprecedented 40 years. I had a smile on my face every night and felt right at home in their company.”

“Pat, I love the way you've always celebrated your contestants and made your viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to all I can learn from you during this transition period.”

Sajak's final episode aired on June 7, nearly a year after he announced he would be leaving the game show on June 12, 2023. Sajak is scheduled to return to “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” on Oct. 7 for his final farewell.
