Like Hillary Clinton herself, The The Handmaid's Tale / The abortion metaphor is old and overused and it never seems to go away.
Hillary Clinton reportedly used the cliche again last weekend while appearing at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado to promote a new documentary on abortion. Zulawski v. Texas; She produced a documentary about a group of women who sued the Lone Star State last year.
At the screening, Hillary told a sympathetic audience, “Go back to a time when the government didn't make decisions for our families.” The Handmaid's Tale.”

“I don't think we should underestimate how important this film is in breaking down the disapproval, the denial, the neglect and the cruelty that affects the lives of so many women in our country today,” Clinton said in a question-and-answer session after the screening. When asked if she was surprised by Dobbs' decision, Hillary reportedly replied: “No, I wasn't surprised.
