Illegal Alien Charged with Five Counts of Child Rape on Martha’s Vineyard

An illegal immigrant has been accused of multiple counts of raping a child on Martha's Vineyard, a luxury resort island off the coast of Massachusetts that is known as a summer getaway for former President Barack Obama and billionaire Oprah Winfrey.

Wally Neto, a 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Brazil, Crossed The US-Mexico border near Paso del Norte, Texas, in March 2018.

Just one week later, Neto was given a Notice to Appear before a Federal Immigration Judge (NTA) by the Border Patrol and released from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) custody into the U.S. interior.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents issued a detention order against Neto in February 2023, requesting his detention, after he was arrested on Martha's Vineyard and charged with strangulation and suffocation, assault on a family member and making criminal threats.

On these charges, Neto was convicted and sentenced to 364 days in jail, but all but 90 of his sentence were suspended, and he was not turned over to ICE agents, likely due to Massachusetts' sanctuary state policy.

In January of this year, ICE agents again issued a detention order against Neto after he was arrested by the Tisbury Police Department on Martha's Vineyard on five counts of child rape and five counts of enticement of a minor under the age of 16.

The charges were then brought in Dukes County Superior Court, where Neto was arraigned, and last month, he was turned over to ICE agents after the Dukes County Sheriff's Office approved a detention order filed against him.
