RFK Jr. says he plans to do swing state rallies with Trump

Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he plans to stay on the campaign trail and hold rallies in battleground states with former President Donald Trump to help the Republican candidate return to the White House.

Kennedy, who suspended his presidential bid in late August, said he would campaign, particularly in battleground states where he thinks he might end up in the election.

“We're planning a 'Make America Healthy Again' tour and we'll be visiting almost every state there,” Kennedy said during an appearance on NewsNation's “The Hill” on Wednesday.

“And that's why I'm going to be rallying in each of these states over the next 61 days,” he continued, “to accomplish the mission that I set out to accomplish when I began my campaign: to end censorship, to end surveillance, to get out of the war in Ukraine, to unravel the war machine and the chronic disease epidemic.”

“The only way that's going to happen is if we get President Trump to the White House and we get me to Washington, so we're going to do everything in our power to make that happen.”

Shortly after endorsing Trump, Kennedy was named to the transition team along with former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii.

Kennedy, who endorsed Trump after dropping out of the presidential race, emphasized in a public speech in Arizona that his name would remain on the ballot in most states. The environmental lawyer said he would consider removing his name in battleground states to avoid interfering with the vote.

A Michigan judge ruled Tuesday that Kennedy should remain on the presidential ballot. Wisconsin, another key state, has refused to remove his name. North Carolina election officials said it was too late for him to withdraw his name. Kennedy has filed a lawsuit seeking to have it removed.

The environmental lawyer, who initially announced her candidacy for the White House as a Democrat, has been increasingly critical of Democratic candidate Vice President Harris, calling her “unfit to be president” and criticizing her lack of media appearances since taking over from President Biden at the top of the party.

Kennedy said Wednesday he will likely hold rallies with Trump and other campaign surrogates, spreading the message he advocated for earlier this year.

“While the full schedule has not been finalized yet, we will certainly be holding rallies with President Trump and other surrogates. We hope to co-plan a Make America Healthy Again rally, a rally with the Trump campaign and a Drain the Swamp rally,” Kennedy said.

“I expect the Trump campaign will be there as well,” he added, “so I'll be campaigning alongside the president, his family and other members of the campaign.”
