Rapper Rich Homie Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar, died Thursday at the age of 34. The cause of death is unknown.
The rapper was found dead at his Atlanta, Georgia, home on Thursday, according to his family and a spokesperson for the Fulton County Mortuary. said TMZ.
Rich Homie Quan's family told the outlet they were “devastated and heartbroken by his sudden passing.”
Rich Homie Quan first emerged onto the rap scene in 2013 with his hit song “Type Of Way.”

Rich Homie Quan's last headline appearance was when fellow rapper Lil Woody, who admitted to opening fire at Rich Homie Quan's father's barbershop in Atlanta, took the stand as the star witness in the YSL RICO trial on Tuesday.
“Did Thug have a problem with Rich Homie Quan bringing members of the IF Gang into his apartment?” the prosecutor asked. Report From Billboard.
Instead of answering the prosecutor's questions, Lil Woody bizarrely repeated the same question to Young Thug, saying, “Thug, you got a problem with Rich Homie?”

Prior to this exchange, Lil Woody reportedly asked the judge, “Your Honor, you said nothing I say can be held against me, right?” to which the judge responded by confirming his prediction.
“Me and Threat robbed Rich Homie Quan's dad's barber shop in Bankhead,” Lil Woody said. “I don't know what happened with Threat and Rich Homie Quan, but I was in the car with my brother and they were arguing and yeah we pulled over and did it.”
Rich Homie Quan shared his final Instagram post with his 3.2 million followers on Tuesday, writing in the caption, “Clear vision amidst all the BS.”
