NFL football is back. Real, actual, no-nonsense preseason football, kicking off Thursday night with a rousing game between the Chiefs and Ravens that could be considered a preview of the AFC Championship Game in four months.
There's a lot of anxiety swirling as we head into Week 1. Many NFL fans know that this season could be make or break for the status quo, and organizations like the Jets, Falcons and Cowboys (among others) will really need to prove themselves in 2024 to move forward as they are. Getting off to a good start would go a long way to easing fans' anxieties, which is why Week 1 will be so important in getting things back on track.
It's crazy to imagine anyone being any kind of bullish on the Bears right now, but that's the benefit a No. 1 pick like Caleb Williams brings to a team. Similarly, there are high expectations for the Texans (as expected) and they will be looking to build on CJ Stroud's phenomenal rookie season and cement their greatness.
Here are our predictions for each matchup in Week 1.
