Doug Emhoff did something his wife, Kamala Harris, has previously refused to do: give an exclusive interview.
ABC's Jimmy Kimmel interviewed Doug Emhoff on his show Thursday, heaping praise on the second gentleman while also repeatedly slamming former President Donald Trump, and it was clear from the frothy conversation that there was no mention of Kamala Harris' policies or agenda or her many missteps as vice president, including her utter inability to secure the southern border or control consumer prices.
Instead, Kimmel played his usual Democratic National Convention cheerleader role in front of the studio audience: “I'm cheering for you right now,” the comedian told Emhoff enthusiastically.

Kamala Harris has so far refused to give solo interviews to friendly establishment media, and has also refused to hold press conferences.
She recently did a joint interview with CNN's Tim Waltz, which was pre-recorded and edited.
Her refusal to face the truth stands in stark contrast to former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), both of whom frequently gave lengthy, solo interviews with hostile media organizations.
Trump also held a live press conference where he answered numerous questions from a hostile media outlet.
Democratic leaders appear to be trying to shield Kamala Harris from tough questions that could damage her chances of winning the November presidential election, with media outlets claiming they are trying so far unsuccessfully to get her to do a live, solo interview.
