The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states:
August employment report At least two worrying trends emerged Friday that continue to show signs of slowing.
The country still appears to be seeing fewer full-time jobs and more part-time jobs, which typically don't come with the benefits that many families rely on. But hundreds of thousands of
Foreign-born workers While millions of native-born Americans are losing their jobs, others have secured well-paying employment in the United States.
The report found that under the Biden-Harris administration, the U.S. added 142,000 nonfarm payroll jobs last month, about 20,000 fewer than economists had expected.
Reuters poll is expected to be seen.
The unemployment rate was 4.2% and the number of unemployed people was 7.1 million, both significantly higher than last year (3.8% and 6.3 million, respectively).
Zero Hedge has long documented the trend of “massive replacement” of American workers with foreign workers.
Highlight “Over the past month, the number of foreign-born workers in the United States has increased by 635,000, while the number of U.S.-born workers has decreased by 1.325 million.”
BLS (British Bureau of Labour Statistics)
Define Foreign-born people are defined as “people who reside in the United States but were not U.S. citizens at birth.” This group includes immigrants who were lawfully admitted to the country, refugees, temporary residents, and illegal immigrants.
According to the BLS, last year the foreign-born made up 18.6 percent of the U.S. civilian labor force (i.e., people currently employed or looking for work).
2020Seventeen percent of the workforce was foreign-born.
Former President Donald Trump called the jobs report a “disaster.”
'They're really bad' Trump
said Friday. “The numbers are shocking: Native-born Americans have lost 1.3 million jobs, while foreign-born Americans have been able to take all of those jobs. So foreigners, mostly illegally, are coming into the country and taking jobs from native-born Americans. And I've been telling you all this is going to happen.”
“This is why the border is open.”
“These are very different things,” said EJ Antoni, a research associate at the Heritage Foundation's Grover M. Herman Federal Budget Center.
attention X said this is “part of a longer-term trend (over the past few years) of steady growth in the foreign-born while the domestically-born have declined.”
In another post, Anthony
Shown “Compared to before the pandemic, employment for foreign-born workers has increased by 4.4 million (and is growing again), while employment for native-born Americans has fallen by 833,000 over the same period — literally no progress at all in five years.”
Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) said“This damning report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows what Americans have known for years: illegal immigration lowers wages and jobs for Americans and displaces struggling families.”
“The statistics show that Kamala Harris and Joe [Biden] “The economic growth they claim to have created is not for the American people. All of the benefits go to the illegal immigrants they imported, causing great harm to the country,” Lee continued. “The primary beneficiaries of the Biden-Harris economy appear to be illegal immigrants. It is the American people who bear the burden of their suppressed wages, inflated costs of living, and immigrant crime.”

Suggested“That's why the borders are open. We did that intentionally to support the labor market.”
In the employment report,
Shown Last month, full-time jobs fell by about 438,000, while part-time jobs increased by 527,000. ZeroHedge noted that this means the US has lost 1.5 million full-time jobs since June, while adding more than 2 million part-time jobs.
The employment report also shows that the public is misunderstanding just how bleak employment numbers have actually been in recent months.
June employment was revised down by 61,000, from +179,000 to +118,000. July nonfarm payrolls were revised down by 25,000, from +114,000 to +89,000. Thus, payrolls over the last two months are actually 86,000 fewer than last reported.
Kobeisi's letter
Shown These revisions made the July employment report “the weakest employment report since the start of the pandemic in December 2020.”
Trump called the report a “catastrophe,” according to Heather Long of The Washington Post.
Suggested This is a “solid jobs report,” maintaining hope that “a soft landing” is still entirely possible.
“Yes, June and July were revised down significantly.”
said Long. “But you have to look at the whole picture.”
