Haason Reddick's strike appears set to last into the regular season.
Despite former Browns general manager Mike Lombardi reporting Friday night that Redick was scheduled to report on Saturday, coach Robert Saleh said that wasn't the case.
“We'd welcome him with open arms if he gets here,” Saleh said before the Jets' final practice before Monday night's showdown with the 49ers. “We're going to love him dearly and he's going to be a part of this football team and help us win a lot of football games. He's got some financial stuff to sort out, but that's nothing to do with me.”
Redick, who was acquired from the Eagles in late March, did not participate in spring training, did not show up to training camp and was fined more than $50,000 for each day he missed three preseason games.
Each game Redick misses will cost the club roughly $800,000.
Redick is unhappy with his contract, which pays him a base salary of $14.25 million, but the Jets are refusing to discuss a new contract until Redick shows up to their practice facility.
Redick, a two-time Pro Bowl player, turned down a contract extension offer from the Jets before the trade was completed, but the Jets expected Redick to honor his existing contract.

General manager Joe Douglas said recently that he hasn't spoken to Redick directly since he walked into the Jets' building on April 1 and hasn't had any recent conversations with his agent, Tony Dundee.
Redick has averaged more than 12.6 sacks over the past four years and requested a trade in early August, but Douglas said the Jets have no plans to move him.
Offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer (hand) and linebacker Zaire Barnes (ankle) will both miss Monday night's game.
Saleh said Schweitzer, the team's backup offensive lineman, will be placed on injured reserve.
“The Jets have the option to play in the next four games, but they will miss at least the next four games. Saleh did not say which offensive lineman would be the primary backup in place of Schweitzer, saying the Jets have options.
