With less than two months until Election Day, liberals are starting to get nervous.
CNN host Kate Bolduan noted that Kamala Harris has a “massive lead over Trump among women,” but that Donald Trump is “significantly ahead of Harris on the economy.”
According to CNN's David Chalian, the race is closer than leftists had hoped.
Harris leads within the margin of error in the battleground states of Wisconsin and Michigan, while Trump leads within the margin of error in Arizona. The numbers in Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania are too close to predict.
“This shows that there are multiple paths a candidate can take to win the 270 seats, but this is certainly a close race,” Chalian told Bolduan.
But Harris has lost support among black voters in states like Pennsylvania, where 92% of black voters voted for Biden in the 2020 election. Now, 84% support Harris.
“There's still room for Harris to grow and consolidate the black vote, which she will need to win in places like Georgia and Pennsylvania,” Chalian explained.
Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report is concerned but hopeful.
“Something interesting is happening,” he said. “Trump doesn't need small wins, he needs big wins.”
“Even if he wins a little bit, they're going to make it look like he didn't win somehow,” he continued. “Look, anything can happen in 60 days: Pandemic 9, zombie invasion, Russia, Russia, Russia.”
“Obviously, anything can happen,” he continued, noting that it's surprising that the polls are “so close” after Trump's indictment, his sham trial and everything they've done to him.
