The FBI searched his home. The corporate media lied for years, painting him as a Russian spy and treasonous troll. Fascist Democrats are trying to put him in prison for life, bankrupt him in legal battles, and take his business empire. He is constantly slandered as a “felon,” a “racist,” a “rapist,” a “threat to democracy,” and the “next Hitler.” As his 2024 campaign pulled away from Joe Biden and headed toward victory in November, they shot him in the face, threw his game board on the floor, and demanded a do-over of Kamala's unscrutinized “joy” campaign, a campaign that was funded by tens of billions of dollars of free corporate media cheer…
nevertheless…
Today, former President Donald Trump is leading incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris in the latest national polls. The New York Times/Siena vote.
In the race between the two, he has a one-point lead, 48 percent to 47 percent.
He has a two-point lead over third-party candidates, 47% to 45%.
this vote The poll of 1,695 voters, conducted September 3-6, is considered the gold standard poll among Democrats and media elites, for whom all the news is bad… this is the kind of poll that demoralizes the worst people in the world.
Let's look at the crosstab…
In the same poll, In 2020Trump has never been closer than 8 points to Joe Biden, and his approval rating has never been higher than 41% nationally. Today, Trump's approval rating is 48% nationally.
Trump won 14 percent of the black vote and 41 percent of the Hispanic vote. His favorability rating is just one point lower than Kamala's. Trump's favorability/unfavorability rating is 46 to 52 percent (-6), while Kamala's favorability/unfavorability rating is 46 to 51 percent (-5).

Throughout his three presidential campaigns, Trump has never led nationally in the RealClearPolitics national polling average… until now. Today, Trump has an average of 1.4 Points.
In addition to the Biden-Harris administration's dismal record, there are two reasons why Trump is hanging on: 1) he's running the best campaign of his lifetime, and 2) her campaign is terrible.
Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance are very disciplined in their messaging and are constantly in the media. Their campaign is about raising issues. What's most impressive is how Trump barely gets into any trouble anymore. I didn't think he could. Vance is a true political superstar, even in the face of relentlessly corrupt and hostile media interviews. No matter how hard the media tries, Vance never lets his guard down. Rather, he they I'm at a loss for words.
Meanwhile, as I've been saying (almost alone) since the convention, Kamala is running the worst presidential campaign I've ever seen. She's a total idiot and a total neurotic who lacks poise, confidence, understanding of her political positions, and political skill. She's reversing long-held beliefs because no one can defend them. She's hiding from the media because she can't articulate or explain her reversal, even to the media who desperately want her to win. Honestly, she can't articulate or explain it. Anything.

Kamala's apparent lack of political skill and inability to handle pressure has put the Harris campaign in the odd position of running on only one issue. She's not TrumpBut when America is witnessing a southern border deliberately open to crime and drugs, two major wars abroad, a surge in violent crime, severe inflation, stagnant job growth, the loss of the American Dream in home buying, and third-rate male athletes taking trophies and opportunities away from girls and women, voters need to know what you plan to do and what you intend to do. In Kamala's case, silence may be better than truth, but silence alone may not be enough.
I think voters instinctively understand this too…
If Trump was going to do all the horrible things he's being accused of, he would have done it already as president.
If Kamala was going to make everything better, she would have done so already as vice president.
Don't get me wrong: Harris still has a chance to win in November, but as I've said today, and as I've said for several weeks now, I think Harris is better placed in this race than she is, and I absolutely think she (and Vance) are better placed in the upcoming debates.
