A sorority club at the University of Mississippi in Oxford has reportedly been suspended over allegations of hazing.
The Mississippi Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Theta confirmed to FOX 13 that Ole Miss suspended the fraternity last week.
“The university is aware of the video and takes allegations of bullying seriously,” UM said in a statement. To FOX 13“The university has provisionally suspended the fraternity involved and has suspended activities for new members.”
WKRN reported According to students who reviewed the video, the bullying incident was caught on camera and appears to show the potential freshmen lying on their backs and drinking a white substance, possibly glue or milk.

It is unclear whether there were any other bullying allegations that led to his suspension last week.
“Upon learning of the allegations, Phi Delta Theta is working with chapters, alumni and the university to investigate,” national headquarters told FOX 13 in a statement. “Members found involved have been suspended from membership and further disciplinary action will be taken as necessary.”

The fraternity's national organization added that it “will not tolerate any behavior that is in direct conflict with the fraternity's values and policies, and will take strong action against members or chapters who violate the fraternity's expectations or the law.”
