Actor Dean Cain has revealed his plans for the upcoming God Is Not Dead The film, which focuses on the intersection of faith and politics, will encourage Christians to vote in November. Lois & Clark and Supergirl There is a role God is not dead: we believe in himThe film hits theaters on September 12 and tells the story of pastor David Hill, who runs for U.S. Senate against an opponent who wants to remove religion from the public sphere. Despite facing attack ads, Hill resists the pressure to “go negative.”
The film highlights important issues without making any reference to current politicians or either of the two major political parties.
“There are 40 million Christians in this country who don't vote,” Cain told Crosswalk Headlines, citing the statistic in the film, noting that millions of Christians aren't even registered. “…What I really want to see is 40 million Christians who don't vote every election.”
“Get involved,” Cain says. “You may not be interested in politics, but politics is interested in you.”
“If 40 million people go to vote, [even] If 20 million people go to vote, everything will change. [then] “I think that's the most important thing: we're going to a more meaningful place, both as a country and as a world. That wasn't my idea when we started making this movie, but now that the movie is finished, I think it's very timely.”
Kane said his dissatisfaction with political leaders was the reason he chose to emigrate.
“That's why I left California. I live in Nevada now because the politics in California have gotten out of control,” Cain said. “The taxation has gotten out of control. The regulations have gotten out of control. The way they do things to kids, everything is completely out of control. I didn't want to be involved in that anymore. So I live in a state with no state income tax.” [I am in a] It's a very safe, small community in a great location.”
in God is not dead: we believe in himCain plays the character Mark Shelley, who first appeared in the original series. God Is Not Dead (2014). Shelley is funding Hill, but his motives are far from pure.
“He was the first God is not dead, I just didn't seem to have the qualities to rescue him,” Cain said with a laugh.
