Was the ‘Bud Light Boycott’ effective? — Is it STILL WOKE?

Bud Light effectively lost its fan base in 2023 after partnering with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, and is now trying to change course.

The company recently released football-themed ads starring Shane Gillis in what appears to be an attempt to brush aside the failure of its LGBTQ-themed partnerships, but Blaze News Tonight's Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson aren't convinced the change is sincere.

“The company clearly took notes,” Savage said in a statement.

“He goes from being a cross-dresser to being a cancelled Republican comedian who makes a ferocious comeback and becomes incredibly popular,” Peterson said. “It's very obvious, and in some ways it's obvious that's what they're doing.”

“I'm very skeptical of all this,” he said. “What these companies have been doing for decades has destroyed their own brands and ultimately the image of America.”

“I'm glad Shane Gillis is here,” he added. “We like it. And you're rejecting some of the insanity and showing it to us, but have you really changed as a company? What else are you hiding? I don't know, but I'd like to know, and as consumers, we need to know before we start making choices with our money, otherwise we're held hostage by woke capital.”

This matters because these corporations are funding an ideology that most Americans are inherently opposed to.

“What we need to do more is use the power of the media to shame these people,” Peterson told Savage. “You can do that too. We'll do it together. Just shame these people and say, 'What are you doing? Why are you doing this?' and a lot of them will cave in like a cheap suit.”
