The SUSTAINS Act is new legislation currently being written that would dramatically damage Americans' ability to own land in typically tyrannical fashion.
The act would give the USDA the power to oversee “natural processes” and determine who owns “environmental services.”
“USDA is now monetizing natural processes under the SUSTAINS Act.” Glenn Beck “I don't think I can stop it,” he said, sounding upset.
“In other words, there's an environmental process where trees are breathing in carbon dioxide and breathing out air, so they're breathing in pollutants and as they breathe them out they're providing us with what we need to live,” Glenn explains.
If the USDA had its way, it would try to control the natural processes that occur on your land.
“They're claiming the processes that are going on on your land. So you may not own the air, you may not own the trees, you may not own the water,” Glenn says. “What value does your land have without the water?”
“Farmers, the minerals and the soil don't actually belong to you, so what value does your land have if you cannot cultivate it yourself? You own the land, but you don't own anything except the house that is already built,” he continued, adding that “our government is out of control.”
“This is a way of managing land through public-private partnerships,” he said. “This is something that's actually happening.”
