Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Fox News Channel's “America's Newsroom” on Monday said that if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the White House, she will govern from the “far left.”
Cruz said, “I'm with Bernie Sanders. By the way, Kamala is right. She says her values haven't changed. They haven't. She's been far left all her life. She came into the Senate in 2017. I've worked with her for years and she's voted 100% with the far left. Her voting record is to the left of Bernie and to the left of Elizabeth Warren. I've worked with them. It's not easy to go to their left. There's not much room there. Kamala's happy to take that spot.”
He added: “This is the same person who, as a senator, questioned the director of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and compared ICE to the Ku Klux Klan. She said, people are saying you're like the KKK. The director of ICE said, you don't know what you're talking about, we're law enforcement officers protecting the American people. She said, people are saying you're like the KKK, that's her.”
Cruz concluded, “Bernie's right. There's a reason the left isn't mad at Kamala for pretending to be running from left-wing positions. They know she's pretending. They know that's all she has to do before Election Day. And if God forbid she gets into the White House, she'll go back to what she's done her whole life, which is the far left.”
