MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said former President Donald Trump “couldn't finish his thoughts” during the network's coverage of Tuesday's presidential debate.
“A television executive once told me that everything you need to know on live TV, you can hear it with the sound muted,” Maddow said. “If you had muted the sound during this debate — and I'm sure no one did — you would have seen Trump hunched over and his eyes squinting in anger.”
She continued, “I never saw the whites of his eyes during the entire debate. He was shouting, constantly interrupting himself, not just going off on tangents, not finishing his thoughts, and seemed very annoyed, very angry, very negative and very tired.”
Maddow added: “Kamala Harris, by contrast, seemed light-hearted and quite confused by him. You could see Harris hunched over with her eyes narrowed, appearing to be struggling to form words, and her staring at him, totally confused as to where he was going. I think the footage was just as memorable as what he said.”
