Harris’ dismissive laugh on display in first presidential debate with Trump

Vice President Kamala Harris was visibly reactive at several points during her first debate with former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, including laughing off some of her opponent's responses.

Harris, 59, threw her head back and appeared to say, “Oh well,” before laughing at Trump, 78, who suggested immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, were “eating the town dogs.”

The vice president licked his lips and narrowed his eyes as he stared in disbelief at the former president's claim.

Harris has faced criticism over the years for her hearty laugh, with critics sometimes questioning whether it is even genuine.

Following Biden's disastrous performance in the June 27 debate that prompted his retirement, one prominent Democrat told The Post that Harris's habits made her unqualified to succeed Biden.

She then let out her trademark laugh after Trump accused her of being a “Marxist.”

The vice president's eyebrows then rose about an inch when Trump called her “the worst vice president in the history of our country.”

Vice President Harris' head was also subjected to some fierce jiggling during the debate, including when Trump boasted that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg had praised her for encouraging allies to increase their defense spending.

Trump, meanwhile, appeared solemn for much of the debate and did not appear to laugh once during the pivotal Philadelphia debate.
