The latest teacher sex scandal involves a former Missouri teacher who pleaded guilty to child sex crimes on Friday.
As The Blaze News reported in January, Haley Clifton Carmack was arrested in Garden Ridge, Texas, and then extradited to Missouri. Charged He was charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree statutory rape, sexual contact with a student, fourth-degree child sexual abuse and seven misdemeanor counts of providing pornographic material to a minor.
According to the student informant, the victim had told her classmates that it was her fault that the teacher's divorce was forced upon her.
Clifton Carmack reportedly accepted a plea deal and pleaded guilty to felony sexual contact with a student.
The former teacher's sentence is scheduled to be handed down on October 11th.
Clifton Carmack was a teacher at Lakeith, Missouri, High School, and court documents say he often wore “tight or low-cut shirts” and inappropriate leggings that “showed off his body shape.”
A student told Pulaski County, Missouri, Detective Sergeant Brian Gibbs that Clifton Carmack “talked openly about his personal life in class.”
The school reportedly reprimanded the teacher for being “too friendly with students.”
LaQue school officials notified the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department of a possible inappropriate sexual relationship between a teacher and a student.
A 16-year-old boy allegedly showed other students photos of scratches on his back, which the victim said were left by a teacher after having sex with him in the other student's driveway. People Magazine.
According to court documents, investigators searched the teacher's cell phone and found “conversations between the teacher and the confidential victim discussing their relationship.”

People magazine reported that Clifton Carmack's husband filed for divorce from her in August 2023. The couple, who also have children, divorced in September 2023 by a judgment and order of dissolution of marriage.
An anonymous witness told police that he confronted the boy's father about child sexual abuse.
The witness told the father she was going to report the abuse, but the father allegedly responded, “They're going to do it without telling me, so it's better to just leave it alone.”
The boy's father was charged with child endangerment in January.
Pulaski County Prosecutor Kevin S. Hillman said the teacher has agreed to assist the state and testify if necessary, so the father's case is “on hold pending sentencing of the teacher.”
