Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins will be in action again on Thursday night, taking on the Buffalo Bills in a key division matchup to start the season.

Following Hill's incident with police last weekend and the release of the body camera footage earlier this week, fans may have thought there might be protests on the Dolphins sideline, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Hill spoke to reporters Wednesday about the incident, saying he wanted to fire the officers who took over as supervisors but said it wasn't difficult to separate the incident from his work in the field.

“Not really. Like I said, I'm not going to mix the two,” the star wide receiver said. “I'm not going to take a knee. I'm not going to ask for defunding the police. I'm not going to protest.”

“With football, I don't do that because it's my therapy. Football is therapy for me. Football is a way to escape a lot of things. Football is a way to separate myself from past traumas in my life. So I'm not going to mix the two.”

Hill acknowledged he wished he had handled the incident differently.

Kneeling during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racism became a hot topic in NFL circles during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. The movement was started by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The protests have largely died down over the past few seasons, but some players can still be seen protesting sporadically.
