According to Israeli reports, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched a series of air strikes against Iranian positions in Syria in recent days, including a daring ground raid in which forces seized equipment and documents.

The operation reportedly lasted about an hour, with Israeli special forces entering the compound, removing important equipment and documents and destroying them with explosives, before withdrawing with air cover.
The Israel Times Added:
The Turkey-based opposition Syrian TV station reported that the Israeli helicopters did not land on Syrian territory, instead hovering while special forces descended on ropes.

The media also reported that a Russian communications center was among the locations targeted as part of the operation.
The increased intensity and focus of Israel's operations comes as Israeli political leaders have begun to openly say they are preparing for war with Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah to stop rocket, missile and drone attacks that have displaced 63,500 civilians from 74 towns along the northern Lebanese border.
The goal is to push Hezbollah back north of the Litani River, in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. 1701.
Israeli government spokesman David Mensah said on Thursday that Hezbollah had fired 8,000 rockets and drones at Israel since October, killing 46 people inside Israel, including 24 civilians and one Indian.
