Former first lady Melania Trump on Thursday shared a photo of her college-age baby son, Barron, in a wistful promotional video for her upcoming autobiography.
“From sleepless nights to joyful milestones, the challenges and joys of motherhood bring great fulfillment only a mother can understand,” the 54-year-old says in the video, which was released eight days after her only son enrolled at New York University.
“The lessons I've learned from these experiences are profound, and they have shaped me in ways I never could have imagined.”
“Melania” is available for preorder for $40, or $75 for a signed copy, and is scheduled for release on October 8, just under a month before Melania's husband, former President Donald Trump, faces off against Vice President Kamala Harris in the Nov. 5 election.
Melania Trump has released other videos promoting the book, including one in which she said Tuesday that “the story is still unfolding and the truth needs to come out” about the July 13 assassination attempt on her husband.
On Sunday, she lamented the results of the 2020 election, in which the Republican incumbent was narrowly defeated by President Biden.
“The results of the 2020 elections have changed our lives forever – affecting our quality of life, food and gas prices, safety and even the geopolitical situation,” the Slovenian-born former fashion model said in the video.
“It is becoming increasingly clear that there is a serious challenge to free speech, as evidenced by the move to silence my husband.”
In an initial teaser video, Melania Trump said her book would present “truth” to counter “misconceptions,” an apparent reference to former friends and aides who criticized her for reluctantly decorating the White House for Christmas and for her indifference to the 2021 attack on the Capitol.
