Pop Star Chappell Roan Dedicates First VMA Award to ‘All the Queer Kids in the Midwest’

Missouri-born singer Chapel Lone, whom the Associated Press called “tomorrow's yodeling queer pop icon,” dedicated her first VMA win to “all the queer kids of the Midwest,” adding, “I'm one of you.”

“I dedicate this song to all the drag artists that inspire me, and to the queer and trans people who make pop music vibrant,” Loan said Wednesday while accepting the award for Best New Artist at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Wearing a wire dress and headpiece, the 26-year-old pop star took the stage and read from her diary as her acceptance speech, adding that she also dedicated her VMA win to “all the gay people who dedicate my songs to someone they love or hate.”

“And thank you to all my fans who listen to me and listen when I share my joys and my fears. Thank you for listening,” the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer continued.

“To all the queer kids in the Midwest watching this show right now: I see you. I understand you. Because I'm one of you. And don't let anyone tell you you can't be who you want to be,” Loan concluded.

The “My Kink Is Karma” singer is known for her eccentric style and concerts where she asks fans to participate in dress codes and themes, including “Slumber Party Kiss,” “Goth Grunge and Glitter” and “So You Want to Be a Pop Star.” Report By people.

As celebrities, academia, children's books, television shows, the media, and left-wing activists continue to promote the concepts of transgenderism and “gender fluidity,” more and more young people are beginning to question their biological sex and identify as “non-binary.”

As Breitbart News reported, recent studies strongly suggest that social contagion is a factor in why teens and young adults identify as transgender.
