Former NFL coach Tony Dungy fact-checked a message from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People during Tuesday's presidential debate.
“Speaking about the law and getting people to state their facts accurately.”
Former President Donald Trump criticized the Democratic Party's radical abortion policies during a debate when the NAACP issued a false fact-check.
“Let us go on record: abortion is not possible in the ninth month of pregnancy, nor is it possible to abort after birth. We probably wouldn't need to make that clear if we didn't continue to ban the book,” the group said. Posts Post to X with the discussion hashtag.

Dungy, an outspoken Christian, has criticized the NAACP, Accused That is a distortion of the truth.
“Florida will be voting in November on Amendment 4 which would remove all restrictions on the timing of abortions. If passed, Florida would become the 10th state where such late-term abortions are legal,” Dungey tweeted.
“Please do not distort facts to make a point,” he added.
When criticized for the message, Dungy Provided explanation.
“We talk about the law and about people stating facts accurately. We don't talk about when and why abortions are performed. We ask that people not misquote facts just to make a point,” he added.
During the debate, Trump referred to comments made by the Democratic governor in 2019 that in some cases, the idea of killing a baby could be discussed between a mother and her doctor even after birth.
The NAACP exaggerated its case by claiming that no one can have an abortion in the ninth month of pregnancy, but this is not true in nine states and could be true in Florida if the bill is approved in November.
Dungy previously took a pro-life stance on the abortion debate in the 2020 election.
“For someone who believes God sees us from the womb (Psalm 139:13-16), I find it difficult to think that it's OK to choose not to fulfill that life,” he wrote at the time.
