Bills’ James Cook torches Dolphins for three first-half touchdowns

James Cook was announced on Thursday night and could be promoted to head chef in his first half-term in the job.

The Bills running back was nearly unstoppable, scoring three touchdowns for Buffalo before the second quarter ended in Miami.

He finished with 78 yards rushing and 17 yards receiving in the Bills' 31-10 win.

On the Bills' first drive of the game, Buffalo came out aggressive and drove in a fourth-down, third-and-yard drive from the Dolphins' 17-yard line, with Cook scoring first.

“As long as they have faith in me, I'm going to get to the end zone,” Cook told reporters after the game.

Miami mounted a rushing charge while Buffalo countered with crossing wide receivers, leaving Cook completely free on the far side. Quarterback Josh Allen took a stride and passed to Cook, who sprinted into the end zone for a touchdown.

Cook's next score was a little easier, a one-yard rush at the goal line to cap off an 85-yard drive in the second quarter.

The hat trick came just one drive after the Dolphins lost the ball on downs.

Allen handed the ball off near midfield and Cook broke free of Miami's defenders for a 49-yard touchdown.
