Former first lady Melania Trump posted a video to her X account on Saturday morning in which she slammed the FBI for their 2022 search of her Mar-a-Lago estate, saying it should serve as a “warning to all Americans.”
“I never imagined my privacy would be violated by the United States government,” the former first lady said. reminisced in a video. “The FBI searched my home in Florida and searched my personal belongings.”
“This is not just about me, it's a warning to all Americans, a reminder that our freedoms and our rights must be respected,” Trump continued.
Her husband, former President Trump, is planning to sue the Justice Department for $100 million in damages over the government's unprecedented 2022 raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, which his lawyers claim was conducted with the “clear intent to carry out political persecution.”

Trump and his legal team He intends to sue the Department of Justice over its actions during the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago on Aug. 8, 2022, amid a federal investigation into allegations of improper storage of classified documents.
“What President Trump is doing here is not just standing up for himself. He's standing up for all Americans who believe in the rule of law and who believe that they should hold their government accountable when they've been wronged,” Trump lawyer Daniel Epstein told Fox Business' Lydia Hu.
Epstein added that the Justice Department and FBI decisions regarding the raid “run counter to procedures that require the consent of those under investigation, disclosure to their individual counsel, and the use of local U.S. attorney's offices.”
Trump's lawyers also argue that Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray's decisions were based not on “social, economic or political policy” but on “a clear disregard for constitutional principles, inconsistent standards applied to Trump” and a “clear intent to engage in political persecution rather than promote appropriate law enforcement practice.”

“The FBI's conduct was inconsistent with procedures used in a routine search of a searched premises,” Epstein wrote, adding that Trump “had a clear expectation of privacy at Mar-a-Lago. Worse, the FBI's conduct during the raid violated established procedures and constituted a severe and unacceptable intrusion that any reasonable person would find deeply disturbing.”
Epstein also plans to sue for punitive damages.
“For these injuries to President Trump, Defendants must pay $100 million in punitive damages,” Epstein wrote.
This is the second video the former first lady has posted recently to promote her memoir, “Melania.”
According to the description, her book details “powerful and inspiring stories of women who defined personal excellence, overcame adversity, and forged their own paths,” and is available for pre-order now ahead of its October 1 release date.

She posted her first video on Tuesday, raising questions about the July 13 assassination attempt on the former president.
“The attempt to take my husband's life was a horrific and harrowing experience,” Trump said. Video Statement About X. “Right now, the silence around me feels oppressive.”
“I can't help but wonder why law enforcement didn't arrest the perpetrator before the speech,” she continued. “There's definitely more to this story and we need to uncover the truth.”
Following the assassination attempt in July, Mrs. Trump called for the country to “reunite” and urged courage and common sense to “bring us back together again.”

She said She called the shooter “a monster who perceived my husband as an inhuman political machine” and “tried to snuff out Donald's passions – his laughter, his ingenuity, his love of music and his inspiration.”
“When I watched those vicious bullets strike my husband, Donald, I realized that my life and Barron's were on the brink of devastating change,” she wrote, adding that her husband was a generous and caring man.

“Writing my memoir has been an incredible journey, filled with emotional ups and downs,” the former first lady previously told Fox News Digital. “Each story has shaped who I am now.”
She added, “Though it can be daunting at times, this process has been incredibly rewarding and reminds me of my strength and how amazing it is to share my truth.”
