Haley Clifton Carmack, 26, was a math teacher at LaQue High School when she was arrested in January after another student reported her to police about an inappropriate relationship between her and the victim and provided photographs of scratches she allegedly left on the boy's back during sexual intercourse in the witness' driveway.
The teacher pleaded guilty Friday to sexual contact with the student in a deal that allowed him to avoid charges including statutory rape, child sexual abuse and child endangerment, according to the media report.
The victim's father, Mark Clayton, also faces felony charges for knowing about and condoning the relationship. Pulaski County Prosecutor Kevin S. Hillman said Clayton's case will proceed after Clifton Carmack is sentenced on Oct. 11.

Clifton Carmack, a divorced mother of two, initially denied the allegations when questioned by detectives in December 2023, but when police seized her phone they reportedly found text messages that corroborated the relationship.

She was eventually arrested by the Garden Ridge Police Department in Comal County, Texas, in January and faced numerous charges, but ultimately pleaded not guilty.
