Trump says he 'will NEVER SURRENDER' after reported gunshots

In a fundraising email on Sunday, former President Trump said he would “never surrender” following what the FBI described as an apparent assassination attempt.

“Gunshots were heard near me, but before the rumors get out of control, I want you to hear this first: I am safe and well!,” the former president said in an email sent Sunday.

“Nothing will stop me. I will never give in! I will always love all of you who support me,” Trump continued.

Trump's communications director, Steven Chang, said Sunday that “President Trump is safe despite the shooting nearby.”

“No further details are available at this time,” Chan added.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said: His agency at X They are working with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office to investigate “an incident involving the protection of former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m.”

“We received reports of gunfire near former President Trump and his property in Florida. We are glad he is safe,” Vice President Harris said on X on Sunday.

“Violence has no place in America,” Harris added.

In mid-July, Trump was hit in one ear in an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania, with another man also killed in the same shooting.
