‘Happy Days’ stars Henry Winkler and Ron Howard reunite at 2024 Emmy Awards

“Happy Days” stars Ron Howard and Henry Winkler reunited onstage at Sunday night's Emmy Awards.

Winkler joked as he introduced the pair in honor of the iconic show's 50th anniversary. During a re-enactment of the Arnold Drive-In, he and Howard said the “Happy Days” theme song was overlooked.

Winkler pressed the jukebox onstage and began playing songs by Pratt & McClain.

Howard is a three-time Emmy Award winner and Winkler has been nominated three times for his role on Happy Days.

From 1974 to 1984, the show brought joy to homes across America. For 10 years, viewers followed the Cunninghams through their lives as a middle-class family living in Wisconsin during the 50s and 60s. Not only is the show famous in its own right, it also helped launch the careers of some iconic actors: 50 years after the show began, Howard is now a top Hollywood director and Winkler has gained a new generation of fans with his show “Barry.”

Regarding a possible reboot, Williams told Fox News Digital in August 2022 that “anything is possible,” saying, “Whether it's reuniting at a baseball game or reuniting on a new TV show, it would be an incredible gift to be together in any way.”
