How Jayden Daniels left the Giants in Daniel Jones limbo

The Giants' conversation after Sunday probably won't center around Daniel Jones, and that's something of a win for the quarterback after last week's game.

Jones didn't lose to the Giants in this game. He completed 16 of 28 attempts for 178 yards and two touchdowns in a typical Daniel Jones performance. Austin Seibert's game-winning field goal put the Giants down 21-18, but a strange confluence of factors came into play. Graham Gano was injured on the opening kickoff and the Giants had no one to kick the extra point. Jamie Gillan's missed PAT and two failed two-point conversion attempts narrowed the gap to victory. Malik Neighbors threw for 127 yards and a touchdown, but he dropped a fourth-down pass late. You just have to have a bad day.

Still, while Jones was somewhat in agreement, watching the rookie quarterback run down the field and beat the Giants in under two minutes reminded him of that footage from “Hard Knocks.”

Sean and Bears general manager Ryan Pauls were caught on HBO cameras chatting ahead of Georgia's season opener against Clemson.
