Former President Donald Trump said Monday that President Joe Biden called him after the second assassination attempt and “couldn't have been more gracious.”
During a conversation in X's space, Trump revealed that the president had called to discuss Secret Service protection.
“Very good call. It was about Secret Service protection,” Trump said. said.
“He couldn't have been more gracious,” Trump added.
The White House also said the call was “cordial” and that the president ” [Trump] It's safe.”

Biden said Monday that the Secret Service “needs more help.”
“If they actually need more military personnel, then I think Congress should respond to their needs. So that's what we'll be talking about,” Biden told reporters.
Speaking to reporters, the president strongly condemned political violence, repeating comments he made after the first assassination attempt on the former president in July.

The suspected assassin, Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, allegedly brought a scoped rifle to Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, and stood within 300 to 500 yards of the former president when a Secret Service agent spotted him in the shrubbery and fired four to six shots at him. He was arrested outside the golf course a short time later. The Secret Service confirmed Monday that the suspected assassin did not exchange gunfire or have Trump in his line of sight.
