Police say two violent robbers on scooters tried to steal an elderly Brooklyn woman's purse in broad daylight this weekend, knocking her to the ground and hitting her in the face.
According to police, the 88-year-old victim was walking on 50th Street near 5th Avenue in Sunset Park around 4pm on Sunday when she was approached by an aggressive pair of men, a man and a woman.
Officers said the attackers then grabbed the elderly woman's purse and dragged her to the sidewalk, leaving her with facial fractures and damaged teeth.
Still, the woman in her 80s managed to grab her purse, police said.
She was treated for her injuries at Maimonides Medical Center and is in stable condition.
The suspects remained on the run Tuesday, and police released photos of the pair, each riding a Razor scooter, in the hope of tracking them down.

The male suspect is described as having a dark complexion and was wearing a black ski mask, a black “Raiders” T-shirt, black pants and white and red sneakers.
Police said the female suspect was dark-skinned and was wearing a black and white head covering, a blue sports bra and grey sweatpants.
