A video of Creed's lead singer Scott Stapp making an appeal has gone viral. Greater unity Among Americans, while extolling the biblical basis of our constitutional republic.
“The only way to make a change is to wake up and come together. Let's focus on what we have in common: life, liberty, love and happiness.”
Stapp made the comments during a concert on the band's reunion tour.
“Division is what they want,” he said, “to distract us from holding them accountable.”
He further stated that humans are programmed to be disconnected starting from kindergarten.
“Almost everything we accuse other countries of doing, we are doing here. Your civil rights are being violated every minute of every day! What do we do? We focus on what divides us!” he continued.
“We're keyboard warriors,” Stapp says, “going to entertainment venues to be perfect citizens and buy the latest trends, all to distract ourselves from what's going on right in front of us.”
Stapp did not allege any political party during his speech, but drew much applause and cheers from the audience.
“The only way change is to wake up and come together. Let's focus on what we have in common: life, liberty, love, happiness. We find our common ground and build from there. And as we build that common ground, we begin to hold those in power accountable,” he continued.
“We start reminding our kids what's in the Constitution. We remind our kids what's in the Bill of Rights. We remind our kids that we're a constitutional republic based on the Bible and the word of God, we're not a democracy. Study. Do your homework.”

Stapp became publicly professed about his Christian faith after experiencing several personal setbacks, including divorce and addiction.
