ESPN colleague sneaks in sex tape reference while debating Shannon Sharpe

Domonique Foxworth couldn't help but address the NSFW Instagram Live video that fellow ESPN host Shannon Sharpe posted to social media.

The story today was that the Panthers benched second-year quarterback Bryce Young this week.

“Stephen A, if we have three months and his hip stays up, we might play a couple of games for him as a tight end,” Sharpe said on “First Take.”

“I think my hip is OK,” Foxworth, a former NFL cornerback who played for the Broncos, Ravens and Falcons, said quietly.

Foxworth highlighted the joke on social media, saying: “I mean… I had to, right?”

Sharp quickly laughed at the joke as the discussion about Young continued.

He initially tried to deny the existence of an Instagram Live video showing him having sex with a mystery woman, claiming his Instagram had been hacked.

“Please be aware that my @shannonsharpe84 Instagram was hacked this morning. Me and my team are working hard to figure out why this happened. UNC,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.

Sharp later admitted that the live footage did indeed show him engaging in intimate acts with an unknown woman.

After “Nightcap” podcast co-host Chad Johnson joked about the situation, Sharpe largely offered an apology.

“Of course it's embarrassing. I'm an extremely private person and the fact that one of my most private pieces of information is being heard for the whole world to hear is embarrassing in a lot of ways,” a contrite Sharp said in an emergency episode of his popular podcast.

Just because Sharp wasn't joking doesn't mean other members of the media weren't.

After Johnson suggested the woman named in the video was Michelle, former ESPN star Michelle Beadle poked fun at the situation.

“That's not me.” Beadle wrote: X adds a smiley face emoji.

ESPN did not discipline Sharpe, who continued to work business as usual for the network this week.
