When former President Donald Trump claimed on the debate stage that Springfield, Ohio, was being turned into a ruin by an influx of Haitian immigrants, the media seized the opportunity to call him a madman.
But was he right?
Journalist Nick Soter explained in a post on X that Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (R) is sending $2.5 million and state police to Springfield because “Haitian immigrants are causing health and traffic problems.”
“These dramatic increases impact every resident, every citizen in our community,” Gov. DeWine was quoted as saying.
Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report isn't surprised the mainstream media is reporting the exact opposite.
“On the one hand we have all sorts of outlandish reports from MSNBC saying, 'There's nothing to see there. There's no evidence of any crime, any problems, anything,' and then on the other hand we have all sorts of audio from 911 calls of people witnessing these events,” Rubin said.
Vivek Ramaswamy from Ohio knows why this is being hushed up.
“I think this is a divide and conquer strategy from the top by the Biden-Harris administration. A classic move,” Ramaswami told Rubin.
“When you take in literally tens of thousands of immigrants from countries who are not yet ready to assimilate into America, who don't speak the language, who don't speak or understand the local laws well enough to obey them, and who are in much greater need of social services than the people who are already here, it's inevitable that you're going to get some backlash from those communities,” he continues.
“I don't blame the Haitians out there. I don't blame the native people of Springfield. I blame the policies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” he added.
