Poll Shows Movement Toward Donald Trump Since Debate, Second Assassination Attempt

A national Neapolitan News poll conducted by RMG Research found a positive shift in former President Donald Trump's direction following the debate between him and Vice President Kamala Harris and the second assassination attempt.

investigation show Nationally, Harris leads Trump by just two percentage points, with 50 percent of the voters approving her, compared to Trump's 48 percent. To put it more broadly, a poll last week showed a four-point difference in approval ratings between the two candidates, with Harris at 51 percent and Trump at 47 percent. In other words, Harris lost one point last week and Trump gained one point, giving former President Harris a two-point lead.

Furthermore, the poll explains that “the difference between a two-point popular vote win and Harris' four-point win is enormous.”

“If she wins the popular vote by two points, the Electoral College contest would be considered even. But if she wins the popular vote by four points, the vice president would have a better chance of winning the Electoral College,” the Post reports.

The survey was conducted among 2,969 registered voters from Sept. 16-19, 2024. The margin of error is plus or minus 1.8 percentage points.

The investigation comes after a second assassination attempt on President Trump was carried out in Florida, with police arresting the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, who was found in bushes on the edge of Trump's golf course.

President Trump publicly thanked God for saving his life a second time.

“God has just saved my life, and I'm sure it was God who saved me, not once, but twice,” Trump said at a rally in Uniondale, New York.

“And some say Trump did it because he's going to rebuild this state. He's going to rebuild this country. He's going to make America great again and we're going to bring religion back to this country,” he continued, making it clear that these encounters with death have “not broken” his will.

“They've given me a really big, strong mission. And they've just strengthened my commitment to using my time on earth to make America great again and put America first,” Trump added.
