Tony Dungy uses the Bible to crush Kamala Harris’ narrative about abortion and faith: ‘You make this statement all the time’

NFL Hall of Fame head coach Tony Dungy is taking issue with one of Vice President Kamala Harris' biggest pro-abortion talking points.

Harris, like other pro-abortion Democrats who identify as Christian, has regularly argued that people don't have to “abandon their faith” to support abortion.

“What kind of 'faith' are you talking about when you say you don't have to abandon your faith to support abortion?”

Their argument is that personal autonomy and self-actualization are society's primary good, and protecting the lives of defenseless unborn children infringes on individual autonomy — an argument Harris reiterated on Thursday.

“You don't have to abandon your faith or your deeply held beliefs to agree with this. The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling women what to do with their bodies,” Harris said.

Dungey, a devout Christian and passionate advocate for the life of the unborn, was quick to denounce Harris and use the Bible to refute her claims.

“Dear VP Harris: You make this statement all the time, but what 'faith' are you talking about when you say I don't have to abandon my faith to support abortion?,” Dungey asked. “Are you talking about the Christian faith which teaches that all babies are made in God's image (Genesis 1:26), that God placed them in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5), and that we must not take any life unjustly (Luke 18:20)?”

“Are you talking about that faith, or some vague general 'faith' that we are good enough and smart enough to make our own decisions? What 'faith' are you talking about?” he added.

The meaning of Dangy's response is clear: He believes Christians who support abortion are abandoning a core tenet of their faith.

Dungy has made that clear in the past.

“For someone who believes that God sees us from the womb (Psalm 139:13-16), I think it would be difficult to think that it's OK to choose not to fulfill that life,” he said in 2020.

Meanwhile, one of the biggest problems with Harris' pro-abortion stance is that she doesn't support any restrictions.

During last week's presidential debate, Harris was asked if she supported “any restrictions” on abortion, but instead of answering the question, she said, “I fully support restoring abortion protections.” Roe v. Wade

The problem is, if Harris isn't willing to help, Any Restrictions Regarding abortion, does she support abortion under all circumstances and at any stage of pregnancy?

Unfortunately, it looks like Americans won't get the answer to that question before they head to the ballot box on Election Day.
