After second assassination attempt, Trump worries about family’s safety: ‘I don’t talk about it, but I do’

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade's latest interview with former President Donald Trump will air exclusively on “One Nation” Saturday night. During the interview, Trump candidly responded to a question about whether he was worried about his family's safety: “I don't talk about it, but I am worried. I've got to worry about my family. I've got to worry about everybody.”

The Fox & Friends co-host has a chance talk The 45th President met with us in the final stages of his presidential campaign to discuss the upcoming vice presidential debate between his running mates, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Governor Tim Walz (D-Minn.), the second assassination attempt on Vance, and the perils of the next four years under the leadership of Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Look, we're under siege and we've never had a country suffer more than we have for the last three and a half, almost four years,” Trump told Kilmeade, referring to the threat posed by the record numbers of illegal immigrants allowed in under a Biden/Harris administration — a threat he believes will continue if Biden wins the White House.

“When you allow millions of people into our country from prisons, right? Prisons. Terrorists. People in mental institutions. And they take over our parks. Look at New York. You can't play Little League baseball there anymore,” the former president said, adding that undocumented immigrants are given preferential treatment over U.S. veterans in New York City.

Kilmeade asked Trump if he was worried about his family in the wake of the two recent assassination attempts.

Meanwhile, Kilmeade asked Trump whether he thought Vance would “get a fair chance” during the Oct. 1 debate with Waltz, moderated by CBS News and network anchors Margaret Brennan and Norah O'Donnell.

“He's not going to get a fair shake,” Trump responded, “but he's going to get through it very well.”

The former president continued, “I think he's done a great job. The people really like him. He's tough, he's smart, he loves his country. He's not going to have any problems.”

Former President Trump's full “One Nation” interview will air on Fox News at 9pm ET on Saturday.
