Ryan Routh plotted to assassinate Donald Trump outside his Florida golf club, but thankfully failed.
Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker investigated the attempted assassination and was not satisfied with his findings.
“What we've uncovered are even more unanswered questions,” Baker told “Blaze News Tonight's” Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson. “Was President Trump lucky enough to be there out of the three different courses he could have played that morning?”
“They'll be able to answer all of those questions now, as well as the question of whether the GoPro that was hanging on the fence or attached to the fence was set up to broadcast to anybody's cell phone or Wi-Fi device that was in his vicinity,” Baker explained.
But the attempted assassination of President Trump itself is not the only thing that should concern us.
“This guy has an extensive criminal record and there are some strange aspects to this,” Peterson said.
Baker said “what's most intriguing” is that Routh faces more than 100 charges, including one for allegedly possessing weapons of mass destruction.
“He held off the Greensboro, North Carolina, Police Department and the Guilford County Sheriff's Department for three hours with a machine gun, and then all of a sudden his charge was reduced to carrying a concealed weapon,” Baker said.
“The most interesting thing is, with all these charges, 74 arrests, how long has he been incarcerated for? None. Zero,” he added.
