Mark Hamill, known for his role in the Star Wars franchise, reacted enthusiastically to Barack and Michelle Obama’s speech at the Presidential Center on Thursday, praising them as exceptional speakers.
In a post on Blue Sky, he mused, “What are the odds that two orators will get married?” while sharing clips from the event at the Michelle Obama Presidential Center.
What are the chances that two talented speakers get hitched?
Listening to their experiences was truly uplifting, inspiring, and refreshing. It brought back memories of a time when leaders appealed to the best in us and shared hope instead of divisiveness.#Change is coming on November 3rd

Hamill expressed, “Their stories were exhilarating. It reminded us of better days when leaders aimed for unity, offering hope instead of divisive remarks.”

During the event, Michelle Obama spoke fondly of her husband, saying, “You did the people’s work, saved our economy, expanded health care, ended a war, ordered the raid on bin Laden, saved the auto industry, and won the Peace Prize.” She went on to highlight their efforts in regulating banks and advocating for marriage equality, all while comforting the nation in hard times.
“And you made the hardest job in the world look like a walk in the park with your grace and coolness,” she added.
When he’s not praising the Obamas, Hamill is often critical of President Trump.
Just last month, he shared a disturbing fantasy featuring Trump in a grave, suggesting a morbid wish. The post showed a depiction of Trump, surrounded by flowers, with his tombstone listing his birth and death years, from 1946 to 2024.
This may have been a nod to a recent assassination attempt on Trump, where he was shot in the ear but survived, though it resulted in the tragic loss of a life of a supporter during the incident.
