They Have a ‘Huge Disconnect’ with Average Americans

Actor, singer and director Robert Davi has slammed the growing number of Hollywood celebrities preaching to Americans to vote for Kamala Harris, saying they are “hugely out of touch” with ordinary citizens not just in terms of wealth but also in terms of their understanding of the issues facing the country.

Robert Davi appeared on Fox News over the weekend and pointed out that stars who support Kamala Harris, such as Oprah Winfrey and Meryl Streep, are multi-million dollar, even billionaire, earners.

“These are not rank-and-file members. They are not the Teamsters who actually run the set,” said Davi, who noted that a recent internal Teamsters survey found that about 60% of members support former President Donald Trump.

Instead, celebrities live in a rarefied world, protected from soaring consumer prices and an unprecedented influx of illegal immigrants, both of which the Biden-Harris administration blames.

“There's a big gap between the money and the understanding of what the issues are in our country,” Davi said.

Other stars supporting Kamala Harris include Julia Roberts, Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.

Recent polls have shown that the pop princess's support has not energized voters as Democrats had hoped, with a majority of voters saying they are not interested in Swift's political views.

Dovey, who is also a Breitbart News contributor, criticized the left for pursuing scare tactics by claiming that Trump would become a dictator and start a world war, when in fact the opposite happened during his first term.

“Suddenly there's an American amnesia from the left,” Davi said, noting that major global conflicts erupted during the Biden-Harris administration, not the Trump administration.

Davi has appeared in many films. The Goonies, License to Killand the present Reagan Biopic — Directing a 2022 film My son Hunterdramatized the Biden family's many instances of misconduct.
