Vice President Harris beat former President Trump by 5 percentage points in Minnesota. New poll.
Harris received 48 percent of the vote. Registered Voters Minnesota Star Tribune/MPR News/KARE 11 Minnesota polls show Trump's approval rating at 43 percent in the North Star State.
The poll also found the vice president garnered warmer reactions among Minnesota voters, with 47 percent saying they had a favorable view of her, while 46 percent said they had a favorable view of President Trump.
Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz is also Harris' running mate, which could give her an advantage in the Midwestern state in the 2024 presidential election.
Following Biden's lackluster performance in the June debate between Trump and Trump, Republicans saw opportunities in more traditionally Democratic states such as Minnesota, Virginia and New Hampshire, but the president's withdrawal from the campaign trail in late July threw the 2024 race into disarray.
Harris is currently leading Trump in The Hill/Decision Desk average of national polls, garnering 50.3 percent support to the former president's 46.7 percent.
The Minnesota Star Tribune/MPR News/KARE 11 Minnesota Poll was conducted Sept. 16-18 among 800 registered voters and has a sampling margin of error within 3.5 percentage points.
