TikToker Slams Oprah Winfrey, Kamala Harris for Using Her Video

TikTok creators The Oprah Winfrey Show He also criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for using footage of her complaining about the cost of living during a town hall interview with the Democratic presidential candidate on Thursday.

“I don't understand how people are managing to make ends meet right now,” Blair Allison, who has more than 100,000 followers on the video platform, said in a video posted to the show.

Her original video has been viewed nearly 2 million times and was posted in November 2023.

“How are people surviving right now? How are people dealing with this cost of living on the average American salary?,” Blair asked in the video. “I just saw a TikTok of a teacher making a teacher's salary.”

She expressed doubts about how people making the “average American salary” were surviving.

Seeing Winfrey feature her in the video almost a year later, she mocked her “four seconds of fame” and made it clear that she did not endorse Harris' presidential bid and did not welcome her words being used in the interview.

“So I had my four seconds of fame. The Oprah Winfrey Showand of all the people who were invited to be her guests, let me show you who it was,” Blair said in a video posted Saturday.

The TikTok user launched into a humorous monologue, poking fun at Harris' speaking style.

My fellow Americans, I want to be very clear. I do not support Harris for president. I do not want to be burdened by who was in the White House for the last three and a half years. As I stand here on this stage, the day before yesterday and today, I want you to know that I do not support Harris for president.

The post has already garnered hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok, and another account shared it on X, where it has been viewed more than 3.6 million times.

In the follow-up post Blair on TikTok said of The Oprah Winfrey Show She did not seek permission or inform them that her face and voice would be used.

Many people, The Oprah Winfrey Show Twitter asked for permission to post my TikTok. No, I didn't. I never expected the video to be shared while she was interviewing Kamala Harris. I have made it clear that I do not endorse Kamala Harris in any way. I wish there was a rule that national TV shows had to get permission before using creators' content. At the very least, they should notify creators before airing it on national TV.

“I am disappointed that a prominent talk show like Oprah Winfrey did not inform me that they were using my clips and did not have time to view the footage before people in the community informed me,” Blair added.
